Cait and Ben’s wedding at Lilah was a vibrant extravaganza filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments! From the streets of Philadelphia to the enchanting venue of Lilah, every step of their journey was a celebration of their unique love story. A fun side story, Cait, Ben and I actually met while I was photographing another couple at Rittenhouse, while they were out for a run. They saw how relaxed the couple was, and how they seemed to be having so much fun – I am so thankful they decided to approach me and reached out! This is one of my favorite stories of how I met a couple, and meeting them just felt so meant to be. Their first look fueled the joy of the remainder of the day!
Cait loves plants, it was just kismet that someone was selling succulents shaped like hearts that day! Their planner, the amazing Gabbi from The Wedding Plan and Co., purchase one for the couple. The portraits felt like capturing a sweet date for Cait and Ben in the park.
We headed over to Fishtown and walked into Lilah, an amazing venue. There was an immediate impression made by the beautiful greenery installation above the chuppah by Peonies to Paint Chips. Their ceremony was inreidbly heartfelt, and they had one of the best ‘excited down the aisle’ walks after becoming husband and wife!
There was an abundance of incredible food at cocktail hour for guests to enjoy, courtesy of Lilah’s in house team. Cait slipped into her custom painted sneakers, the band started playing and everyone danced their way into the reception, cheering Cait and Ben in as they were introduced. Their family and friends were invite to surround them as they shared in their sweet upbeat first dance. The energy on the dance floor all night was immaculate! Whenever there was a free moment their band, The Morning After, produced an electric pull to the dance floor. Halfway through the night Ben and Cait took a breath of fresh air to cool off and take some fun photos outside. As soon as they cooled down the ran right back into the venue to rip up the dance floor and dance the night away! This party (and honestly day) is at the top of charts. Thank you so much again, Cait and Ben, for inviting me in to capture it all!
