Lilah Wedding in Fishtown, Philadelphia

A meaningful Jewish wedding in Philadelphia

Tali and Max’s wedding day was a joyful, tradition-filled celebration in the heart of Philadelphia. Their day began with portraits and a beautiful first look in Old City, Philadelphia, where cobblestone streets and historic architecture created the perfect backdrop for their romantic portraits. Surrounded by their incredibly supportive bridal party, Tali and Max were all smiles — the kind of couple whose sweetness and genuine connection is felt by everyone around them. From there, the celebration moved to Lilah in Fishtown, a restaurant known for its incredible Israeli-inspired cuisine and vibrant atmosphere.

Their wedding beautifully honored Jewish traditions that added so much meaning to the day. Before the ceremony, Tali and Max signed the ketubah followed by family and friends gathered for the tish and bedekin. Celebration erupted from the loft as Tali was downstairs being greeted by guests surrounded by the mother’s grandmother’s, and her bridesmeaids. It culminated in an energectic moment of dance as Max came down from the loft to greet Tali in a touching moment where he lowered her veil and whisker her away to their beautiful ceremony. Later in the evening, Tali and Max pulled open the doors to the reception and invited guests into the space where the dance floor erupted for the hora, with guests lifting Tali and Max in chairs while everyone danced in joyful circles around them. One of the most delightful traditions that followed was a mezinke moment where the couple sat and guests performed playful dances to entertain them — an incredibly fun and lighthearted way to celebrate the newlyweds.

The evening was full of thoughtful details and unforgettable moments. Lush florals filled the space, and guests enjoyed live guest illustrations created by a painter as unique wedding favors. Lilah surprised guests with late-night falafel and milkshakes from Goldie, and after an outfit change that brought a whole new energy to the dance floor, Tali and Max closed out the night in the most iconic way — dancing to Love Story as Max dropped down on one knee again while the crowd cheered around them. Such an unforgettable celebration for this sweet couple.
