Oh my goodness where to begin with this amazing summer wedding day at the Indian Trail Club! Kristin and Ron are some of the sweetest human beings I have had the pleasure of photographing; from the first moment we met my heart was leaping with joy for these two to become husband and wife! Kristin had found me before their venue, and my goodness what an honor it was to journey along with them from the very beginning of their planning process! I arrived early to The Indian Trail Club and walked around the venue, visiting the docks, sandy lakeside, and up to the gorgeous Lake House where Kristin was having her makeup finished; I snatched up her details and began photographing them along with her wedding gown that was the perfect mix of whimsical elegance with a lacey bodice and full tulle skirt, just gorgeous! The girls went outside and popped some champagne for a toast by the picture-perfect lake. After sweet time with her girls we found a spot for Kristin to have a moment to herself to read the letter that Ron has written for his bride-to-be…those photos just speak for themselves.
The morning always flies by and it wasn’t long before Kristin was getting dressed with the help of her mom and sister. See the sunflowers in the room with her? Those were a gift from her husband to be Ron that arrived to her earlier in the morning – how incredibly sweet is that?? It wasn’t long before the guys arrived from their hotel, where my always wonderful second shooter Allie was capturing their getting ready. Custom baseball bat cups in hand we headed outside to photograph Ron after Kristin and her girls smized, twirled, and giggled their way through portraits and were safely hidden away.
This blog entry is going to turn into a book remembering all of the beautiful moments that happened throughout the wedding day. From Ron walking down the aisle incredibly giddy to see his soon to be wife, to the tears that rolled down his face as Kristin turned the corner. Their vows that had so many in tears (myself included!) , and how they took time during cocktail hour and their reception to get a photo with every single guest! If that doesn’t tell you how amazing this couple is, I don’t know what could. They so value the people who surrounded them in life and it was so apparent this day how deeply they are loved by all their family and friends. You will have to look through these images to witness their fun, quiet, and romantic moments during their lakeside portraits, nod to the Yankees in their baseball card seating chart (so cool!) and incredibly fun reception! This is a day that will not soon be forgotten by those in attendance. Kristin and Ron, it was a true honor to document this piece of your story together!
