Jenn and Nick’s Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm Barn Wedding | Romantic Rustic Charm, with Goats!

One year (and a handful of days) ago, the fall air was crisp and the sun was peeking out at Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm. Jen was anticipating seeing her future husband, while he was downstairs, finishing getting ready, ready and waiting to see her. It won’t take more than a moment looking through these photos to pick up on the immense joy that Jen and Nick had from the very beginning of their wedding day. They enjoyed every single moment, and I love the way it’s painted across their faces!

These two had a beautiful outdoor ceremony, complete with the perfect tree branch arbor, benches and mismatched wooden chairs, and a golden field for a backdrop, rivaled only by Jen’s radiance as she glided down the aisle to Nick. After the ceremony and a round of hugs it was off to take some photos! The bridal party looked absolutely amazing in gold sequin dresses and navy suits (and I just love the burgundy scarves that the girls had, the perfect pop of color against that gold!) Before long they were off to cocktail hour and the newlyweds, myself and my fabulous second shooter Allie explored the grounds at Locust Hall. The possibility are quite endless here, and we made many stops – but one of the first things that Jen mentioned to me the very first time we met was how excited she was for the goats. How excited they were to was to take photos WITH the goats! These two had a blast getting into the goat pen, feeding the animals with some corn, and unintentionally Jen’s veil (which she wasn’t concerned about in the least – the ceremony was over after all)! Defnitely a highlight from the day!

As the sun began to set, we made our way over to the tail end of cocktail hour and soon the bridal party was dancing into the barn for grand entrances! Rustic charm is the best way to describe the barn here, it’s just perfect. After speeches, dancing and some delicious dinner (courtesy of Du Amicci catering – seriously, delicious) these two decided to sneak out to the other barn, one of the couple areas where cocktail hour was held, for a couple magical night portraits. It was just enough time to sneak in a couple kisses and then head back in to dance the night away! Apple cider donuts from the farm awaited their guests as they left – though I don’t think hardly anyone was gone before the night was over. Nick and Jen’s wedding was one that will be remembered for a long time. Happy first anniversary, you two!
