Casey and Kevin’s Bookbinder’s Wedding | St. Joseph’s University | The Olde Bar, Philadelphia

Casey and Kevin, the time has flown by! October 20th, 2018 was the day that these two were married at the chapel at Saint Joseph’s University and celebrated with family and friends at The Olde Bar in Old City, Philadelphia and it feels like just a few months ago. What a beautiful day it was! We began the morning at the Sheraton Society Hill where Casey and Kevin both got ready in rooms only a few floors apart. It was a wonderful morning with laughs and many calm and quiet moments for the bride and groom each and their families and bridal party. Casey’s gift to her father and the moments she spent reading her letter from Kevin were two of my favorite, sweet tear-filled memories from the morning. Before long we were walking out to the trolley, the girls holding a blanket in front of Colleen as she walked through the hotel lobby to not be seen by a few guests who were staying there!

We arrived at St. Joseph’s University and headed over to Barbelin Hall which these two told me was the most beautiful spot on campus, and they were not wrong! Kevin was waiting for Casey under the arch on the campus where they had met years ago. As she walked up to him and he saw her for the first time his eyes filled with tears and they both beamed! First looks give this incredible opportunity to have a moment to yourselves and really soak one another in before the ceremony, and that is exactly what they did. We slowly walked back towards the bridal party who was waiting halfway between Barbelin and the Chapel. Greeted by cheers from their family and friends the group then walked together the rest of the way to the chapel and, what felt like moments later, down the aisle.

Their ceremony was beautiful, meaningful, and full of so many smiles! Take a look for yourself, so joy-filled. After the ceremony and some amazing photos at St. Joe’s, we hopped on the trolley and made our way to Old City where we used the gorgeous Merchant’s Exchange building as the backdrop to capture more of this couples’ smiles and laughter! I love Casey’s vision of burgundy and navy fall tones against the Merchants Exchange buildings’ architecture. So classically beautiful, and the party stands out so well! Right around the corner was The Olde Bar, waiting to greet guests with drinks and incredible hours devours! This restaurant has the coolest vibe. As the sun began to set the light streamed in through stained glass windows that just added some extra magic to the space! Through the round door was the reception area, beautifully decorated and ready for all of the dancing the night would hold. This party was kicked off right! In perfect timing guests made their way to their seats and speeches were given; Casey’s twin sister Colleen had everyone in tears with her heartfelt speech, and Kevin’s brother had everyone just rolling – the perfect combo!

These two had this beautiful, and often very needed, piece of advice for future couples: “Enjoy being engaged. Planning a wedding can at times be very stressful, but when you’re feeling stressed, remember what the day is really about: each other.” It is no surprise that this was Casey and Kevin’s advice, they lived into that reality throughout the whole day and it shows on their absolutely glowing faces! What a day to remember <3
