Courtney and Ryan’s Timeless Old City Wedding | Presentation BVM | Sheraton Society Hill

Just three short weeks ago these two met at the altar at the front of Presentation BVM in Wynnewood to become husband and wife! Arm in arm with her father, tears welling in her (and just about everyone else’s eyes), Courtney walked down the aisle to Ryan.

Just hours earlier, away from one another, they simultaneously got ready for the day. I walked into this bride’s parents home, greeted by smiles everywhere. I love walking into spaces as joyful as this! Details were the first on the list to photograph, and Courtney’s were just perfect. Every piece included were classic and romantic. From her creme invitation suite to her gorgeous off-the-shoulder gown to the Tiffany bracelet she received from her maids of honor, each piece was just perfect. I love that she even had her father hang a hook by the windows to place her dress for photos! Courtney is one of the sweetest brides, with the most happy tears I’ve witnessed to date. From the moment she opened her card from her husband-to-be the tears began to form, and from that moment on they continued to swell in her eyes. You could just tell that she was soaking in each moment to the fullest and it was so heartwarming. Around the same time Ryan was reading his card from his soon-to-be-wife and the guys continued getting ready for the ceremony. Tying ties, drinking a final beer, and heading off to church.

After a wonderful ceremony and family portraits everyone hopped on the party bus to make our way into Philadelphia. Merchant’s Exchange building in always a good idea for an Old City wedding! We began here, capturing the bridal party. The girls soft blue dresses coupled with the historic building brought such a dreamy quality to this set of photos! The sun popped out just in time for Bride and Groom portraits as we walked around the area capturing the newlyweds. One final stop near the Sheraton Society Hill and we were ready to head in just in time for cocktail hour. So many family and friends surrounded Courtney and Ryan on their day. Their cocktail hour and reception alike were consumed by love and laughter! Their band, Midtown Express, welcomed everyone into the ballroom and fun entrances and a heartfelt first dance welcomed everyone to the beginning of an incredible night! From speeches including some gifts to welcome Ryan into the family to the sweetest parent dances all the way to almost everyone on the dance floor. Courtney and Ryan’s wedding was a day to remember Congratulations again Mr. and Mrs. Murray!
