Emily and Kevin embraced their love for the outdoors by having a serene summer wedding at The Farm at Eagle’s Ridge, a beautiful, rustic wedding venue tucked away in Lancaster County. After getting dressed in their khaki suits, the guys enjoyed playing cornhole outside as Emily finished hair and makeup and slipped into her gown – just look at her! She was absolutely glowing!
Emily made her way outside to have a tearful first look with her brother, stepdad, and grandfather. It was one of my favorite moments, second only to the first look shared with her husband-to-be. She met Kevin beneath the willow tree, symbolizing strength, hope, and safety. I can still feel the genuine love and joy as they exchanged their personal vows with one another in that moment.
For their ceremony, Emily and Kevin stood beneath the wooden arch, with the most breathtaking view of the water and woods behind them. It wasn’t long before her officiant and bridesmaid, Lori, pronounced them husband and wife! On their way to cocktail hour, after grabbing a drink, they made their way back to where they said, “I do,” capturing some fairytale moments before the party began.
Every detail for the reception was impeccable, capturing a perfect picture of rustic elegance. Tall glass votives with lit ivory candles set the mood for the room, tables were decorated with greenery and baby’s-breath, and white linens draped from the chandelier and down the beams surrounding the dance floor. After sharing their first dance and capturing some cute and silly photos in their “photo-bus” (you have to check our Norma Jean – such a fun photo booth!), Emily and Kevin snuck away to the field for a few more private shots in the beautiful golden light at sunset. Once they returned, they opened up the barn doors and danced the perfect summer night away in celebration with their friends and family!
