Emily and Joe’s Blue Bell Country Club Wedding | Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

Emily and Joe were married this summer at Presentation BVM which was followed by the most wonderful reception at Blue Bell Country Club! It has been such a wonderful thing getting to know these two. From our first meeting last fall to their perfect East Falls Philadelphia engagement session (where I also got to meet their pup, Dixon!) all the way to final meetings and emails leading up to their wedding day finally arriving – there is just such a joy and ease about them. It has been such an honor to capture that.

I began my day at Emily’s parents house, capturing her beautiful details (hello to the cutest Kate Spade shoes with bows and Emily’s stunning bouquet by Willow & Thistle) while the girls were finishing up at the salon across town and my second shooter Rebecca hung out with Joe and the guys at Normandy Farm. In a matter of moments the girls arrived and the space was filled with laughter, champagne, and anticipation for what the rest of the day would bring! Tears started early as Emily opened up cards and gifts from her sisters and soon-to-be husband, they just kept on coming throughout stepping into her dress and Emily’s first look with her girls and her dad. In what felt like moments the relaxed morning was gone and we were heading to the church just down the street.

Joe stood at the altar and watched his bride glide down the aisle, beaming. Everyone was beaming (though I’m pretty sure Joe and Emily’s smiles were the brightest). They had a gorgeous ceremony filled with moments and stillness and laughter all leading up to their announcement as the new Mr. and Mrs. Corbett!

The next destination for the newlyweds and their bridal party was Gwynedd Preserve. This is one of my favorite most recent discoveries! The sky was perfectly overcast for portraits and everyone enjoyed a little bit of time before heading to the excitement of cocktail hour and the reception. Soon we were on our way back down the road to the country club where the sky went from cloudy to grey and it began to rain just after everyone made their way inside. Cocktail hour, ceremony details, and a roomful of people later we were on to some of the funniest and most heartfelt speeches I’ve heard, from Emily’s grandfather and the siblings of the bride and groom.

The weather decided to cooperate for us to sneak out for just a few moments before we lost light and we captured a few more portraits of Emily and Joe as husband and wife (these are always my favorite moments, when you have that bit of quiet with your new spouse). From there we went back inside to a night full of dancing! Brian from Cutting Edge Entertainment kept the party going and almost everyone on the dance floor until the end of the night!

Enjoy this peek into Emily and Joe’s wedding day! Thank you two for having me and congratulations one last time <3
